Change of Scenery Required
No new pictures for today — sorry. The environment is getting a bit stale, and Kristen’s going a little out of her gourd having spent the past 48 hours inside (and another 12-15 to go until we leave), and, frankly, I’m not sure how many more pictures of Henry swaddled in his Miracle Blanket you all want to see.
Tomorrow, we’ll be going home, and Barnabas Henry will be meeting the rest of the family (meaning the cats, Georgia and Cecil). Then we’ll have some very fun and interesting pictures for all of you.
But before I let you go, I just have to say a few things about this baby. Again, this is just a doting father talking, but he has the most amazing face. It’s constantly contorting, from lower lip protruding in grumpiness to a wide-open mouth ready to wail to a perfect, little smile (yes, I know it’s not a real smile, but it looks like one, so that’s good enough for me).
He also has wonderfully soft skin, the sweetest breath you’ve ever smelled, and two skinny little frog legs that, when left out of his swaddling, will contort in every possible way.
Best of all is that sometimes, when he’s asleep, he’ll snore, one quick little snort that sounds like a Vietnamese potbellied pig. I’ll have to get a recording of it and share it with you all.
And even though he’s not even two days old, I can’t think how I can love him any more than I already do, and Kristen has admitted the same.
Again, more tomorrow, with more pictures, and we’ll even have some shots of the baby room, including the crazy paint color, his cuter-than-cute bedding, and a coupleĀ of terrific cat pictures.

Because Henry Gabriel was taken?
Gwen Stefani and Mr. Stefani named their baby boy, born the same day as Henry, Zuma Nesta Rock. In any other state but California, the Department of Child and Family Services would be notified.
May Henry never have to meet Zuma.
