My Son, the Sleestak
While I was a big fan of Thundarr the Barbarian, my sister much preferred Land of the Lost, a Sid and Marty Kroft-produced, live-action Saturday morning show. In it, a family (father Rick, son Will, and daughter Holly Marshall) are transported to a new world (they went down the wrong waterfall) where they befriend an ape-like creature (ChaKa) and have to fight off a population of evil lizard-like creatures called a Sleestak.
Pretty contrived, I know, but Rached loved it. I really liked the theme song, but the show was never one of my favorites.
Henry, it seems, is a big fan, although he doesn’t even know it. You see, he’s been peeling quite a bit of late. So much, that he’s leaving large skin flakes in his wake. And while you never actually see a Sleestak get rid of his skin, this is how I picture it happening.
And just to assuage all your fears, even if Henry does turn into a large lizard creature who wants to kill the Marshall clan, I’ll still love him.

Now all you need is the “power crystals”… uuhh… maybe not… … you sure one of the cats wasn’t ChaKa is one of it’s past nine lives?

Seems like something was omitted between the two … … there should have been < Kristen seems to be fulfilling that role >

Marshall, Will, and Holly on a routine expedition
Met the greatest earthquake ever known.
High on the rapids it struck their tiny raft,
And plunged them down a thousand feet below.
To the Land of the Lost…….

Congratulations you guys! I sure hope you will call me if you have any nursing questions, and it sounds as if you are truly “in love” with being parents. I am so happy for you. Love, Marilyn
