The Back of My Cousin’s Head

One of the things that you have to deal with when taking pictures of a baby is that everyone around the baby is secondary. Mothers. Fathers. Grandparents. You name it.

It’s all about the baby.

So as Kristen was going through the pictures we took this past weekend, my cousin Abby was in a lot of them, but they were mostly of the back of her head as she faced Henry and entertained him. That’s what it’s all about, you know: entertaining the baby.

Here are a couple to tide you over until we can find something with her actual face.

  1. Abby Says:

But my hair is nice and shiny. It needs a cut but fortunately, I will be getting it cut today. Does Henry miss me yet?

  2. Amanda Says:

Look at the sweater Henry’s wearing in the second photo. Fabulous!

  3. Barb Says:

Yes, what hair conditioner does Abby use?

  4. rcheli Says:

Henry does miss you. We all miss you, Abby.

My mother made the sweater (it’s quite fetching), as well as a couple of other ones he’s just growing into now.

And Abby uses Pantene. How do I know that, you ask? Well, she left her shampoo in our bathroom by mistake. (We’ll keep it ready for your next visit, not to worry.)

(Edit: I’m told by Kristen that the Pantene in the shower is, in fact, hers and not Abby’s. I hope Barb didn’t go running out and spend $4 on a bottle with my erroneous information.)

Not to digress too much, but my hairdresser informed me that no one should ever use Pantene or other hair products with silicone in them. Then again, Abby — and Kristen, for that matter — have fabulous hair, and with that kind of empirical evidence to the contrary, I’ll get off my soap box.
