Finger Lickin’

I try to post at least four times a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday), and since today is one of those days, I suppose I have to put something up.

We don’t have any new pictures because I don’t think we really need to capture forever Henry’s first cold. (Not to worry, though, because we won’t ever forget it.) We don’t have any real stories because, while he was more than happy to play when he wasn’t exhausted, he was tired a lot and didn’t really want to do anything new and exciting. Sorry.

I did forget to mention that Henry turned 5 months old on Wednesday. For his 4-month birthday, Kristen and I had cake. For this one we ate Popeye’s, one of the great restaurants of Rogers Park, while we alternated carrying Henry around the house in the Baby Bjorn, bouncing him, and distracting him from realizing that he couldn’t breathe out of his nose.

I have to say, there are many benefits of lugging your child around in one of those fancy baby carriers, but the top one is that, with both hands free, it’s much easier to eat fried chicken.

And if that’s not a blurb on their website in 2 months, they have to replace their marketing people.
