What a weekend.

When I was 12 years old, I first read about the San Diego Comicon. The largest comic book convention in the nation, it was the mecca of comic book collectors, and for the past 25 years, I’ve wanted to go. I’ve dreamed of going. On several occasions I even made tentative plans.

Sunday evening after we got home from Target, Henry spent about ten minutes running around stark naked. We’d stripped him down and sat him on his potty hoping he’d go, but instead he hauled himself to his feet and took his book for an extended and very giddy spin around the playroom (née dining room). I don’t know if I was an adventurous eater as a child, but as an adult, I’ll pretty much eat anything that isn’t mayonnaise laden or too heavily dairy. Kristen also eats just about everything, although with some things (sushi, BBQ) it takes some cajoling before she tries it and, eventually, eating everyone else’s dinner.

This past weekend was gloriously warm both Saturday and Sunday, so we took the opportunity to spend lots of time outside with Henry. We played at the park, ate ice cream, and goofed around. It was sublime.

…that I wanted to wake up Henry at 11:30 at night to tell him that the Yankees won the World Series? Because, you know, he’s a big fan of the Bronx Bombers.
And cheese. A huge fan of cheese.

The building our apartment is in is about 70 years old. As such, we have such luxurious amenities as indoor plumbing and walls that generally stay standing.
