Age of Aquarius
We are at a point in Henry’s life that a big — HUGE — decision is looming.
That is, of course, when will he get his first haircut.
Now, Henry has wonderful hair. It’s wonderfully blond and fine and after a bath or a particularly sweaty nap (the boy sweats like his father), it curls up into a “do” that anyone would be jumping out of windows to get.
(I have no clue where he got those curls. My hair was always — and is now — straight as an arrow, and while Kristen had a bit of a wave as a small child, it too is straight.)
Because of the curls, it doesn’t look too long in the back, but when it’s wet (like during bath time), his hair is nearly shoulder length. It’s long. Really long.
I’ve heard horror stories that once you give your child their first haircut, any curls they once had would possibly go away… forever. And I couldn’t imagine that happening. I mean, they’re so soft! And kissable! And, doggone it, one of his best features. (That list includes approximately 11,000 things, mind you.)
But I also don’t like the long hair look on kids. It looks a little trashy (if you get my drift). I also don’t like kids with pierced ears, tattoos, and battle scars. But I digress…
I think sometime in the next month or so, we’ll have to take Henry in for a trim, and if he reacts anywhere close to how he has with visiting Santa the last two years, well, you know it will be tons of fun for everyone.
(Oh, and yes, Henry is wearing plaid pants in the picture to the left. He can really work ‘em, too.)

Who is that big boy?! Oh my goodness – can’t wait to see him in person!
Btw, Tallen screams during haircuts…he has had FOUR so far. It’s awful, but necessary. Good luck!
